TENACIOUS D IN THE PICK OF DESTINY - Greasers Review - So I've seen the "Pick Of Destiny" twice now and I must say, it's one monster mamajam. Those familiar with Tenacious D know their greatness and those who don't now do. This is not just another funny Jack Black movie for families, this is the role JB was born to play. There is a lot of stuff pulled from their HBO series they had back in the 90's, but they expand on them a bit. We get to see just how Kage (Kyle Gass) and Jables (Jack Black) meet, where the name Tenacious D comes from and we get to hear the song they played on that faithful night that was talked about in the song "Tribute" on their self titled album. There are some great cameo appearances throughout the film some of which you don't notice the first time around. This isn't a family film due to some of the content, but the teenage crowd will love it. This is bound to be a cult classic and will be talked about for a long time. Raited R for pervasive language, sexual content and drug use.
The Grade - 4 out of 5 cans of Grease
