Shop Girl - Bizarre love triangle drama based on the Steve Martin novella of the same name. This is well done, albeit slight piece of cinema. The cast headed by Claire Danes, Jason Schwartzman and Martin, himself is superb. The other good points about this film is that it is very realistic, has a couple quiet riotous moments, and has mostly nice visual ideas. The problems are that the story is a bit thin and it is occasionally slow. If you're in the mood for somber, mature film then check this out. Rated R for language, sexuality and brief nudity. The Grade: B-
