What can be said now that one of the most epic movie sagas is over? I WANT MORE! Revenge of the Sith is an amazing movie but lacks a little something. This movie could of been 5 hours long and I still would of wanted more. Maybe that's cause I'm such a geek when it comes to Star Wars, who knows. My biggest complaint though was the fact it went from this amazing story to being over. I feel that Lucas did an amazing job bringing together all the movies with this one. He had a lot to cover in a limited amount of time, but some things were left open. He makes many references to the originals in this one with names and characters and sets designs from the original being lightly sprinkled into it. I remember hearing names in the "A New Hope" and saying to myself, "They never said who that one guy was or what he was all about" only to see em pop up in Empire. Same goes with this one. There is a brief appearance of Grand Moff Tarkin who played a big part in A New Hope.
There was a lot more passion behind this one than the previous 2. Seeing the emotion and anger in many of the characters that we never saw in the other 2. Hayden Christensen had much better acting in this one so it's obvious he's better as a villain than a lover. Obi-wan kicks major butt in Sith. You get to see how much of a Jedi master he really is. Same goes for Yoda. He has some great parts that are comical but bad ass at the same time. Samuel L. Jackson has a much bigger part in this film but they still never develop his character, Mace Windu. There were some parts that were kind of left high and dry with no real development like the connection Yoda has with the Wookies. Speaking of Wookies, Chewbacca's role is very small and he's only in a few scenes. On top of that, General Grievous was kinda thrown in there, but he was a good addition to the whole film.
Visually this movie is stunning. Great digital work but there are some parts that make me wonder if they brought out the old modeling skills for this one as well. Some of the ships and sets look like they could be models. Same goes for Yoda. Looks like they might have made a new puppet but it's really hard to tell. The huge skys capes are stunning (can you find the Millennium Falcon in this one?) with everything being detailed perfectly. The way that the characters interact with each other has greatly improved in some areas and still continued to suck in others. The Anakin/Obi-Wan tension comes to a head in an amazing battle and you really feel the pain Obi-wan is going through seeing a friend slipping to the dark side. The love between Anakin/Padmae still sucks. As i said before Hayden is a much better fighter than a lover.
I'm still taking it all in and am gonna see the movie a few more times. I highly recommend this film to everyone, but be careful with the kids. There are some scenes that could really freak them out. It's really dark and evil just how i like it, but might cause some nightmares. I give it an A-/B+

Wow. Not!
Okay, so eventually this movie does come up with some cool special effects and a couple interesting ideas but it has pretty much abandoned the plot of the original and replaced it with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre storyline. Stupid. Stupid. Too bad - just another forgettable film. Rated R for violence, bloodshed and sexual situations. The Grade: C-
Crash - drama starring Sandra Bullock, Brendan Fraser, and Terrence Howard.
Kingdom of Heaven - Ridley Scott's latest starring Orlando Bloom and Eva Green.
Winter Solstice - family drama starring Anthony LaPaglia. Exclusive engagement Landmark La Jolla Village.
