Feature Review:
27 Dresses - TRomantic comedies don't come much more perfect or predictable than this. Eye candy everywhere, well paced set pieces, pleasant music, totally happy ending. It stars Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Judy Greer and Edward Burns. Rated PG-13.

Cloverfield - Believe it or not I'm giving the better review to the romantic comedy rather than the Godzilla meets Blair Witch video. Not that it doesn't have it's assets. The good thing about the picture is that it is generally creepy and once it gets rolling is very engaging. The problem is that the first fifteen minutes are a complete bore - it is like a bad home movie - trying to establish a human interest story that will justify the rest of the movie - and it fails miserably in my opinion. Finally, what a f --- ing stupid name for a film which is never explain - oh, and nothing is ever explained and it doesn't even have a real ending.
I give the junior high story line a D. I give the thriller aspect a B. I give the monster a C+. I give the movie: B-/C+
